Default :: Another User has logged in on this computer :: message

I have been consistently having this issue but perhaps its just a feature.

if I'm logged into Zimbra Admin Console... and I also have the web based client open for my mail, then I choose to view another users inbox via the admin console, my session to the web client gets booted with:

"Another user has logged in on this computer. You will need to login again to continue"

Most likely this is a security feature, but I just wanted to double-check.

Yes, it's a feature. It won't let you have two different users logged into zimbra in the same browser session.

Try using seperate browser windows instead of tabs.

Unhappy "Another user has logged in on this computer.

I get this message *all the time* with the Desktop client, sometimes in the middle of a session. No other Zimbra-related tabs or sessions seem to be open at the time. It's also very unlikely anyone else is using my account when this is occurs.

Curious why was this behavior changed from 4.5.x please?

From the Admin UI if I go to help a user who allows me to login in as them, I wind up logging myself out of all my other ZCS sessions (except the Admin UI for some reason) after I RMB on their account and choose "View Mail".

Now, instead of one browser window with a number of tabs, I am forced to view everything in a new window to keep me from logging myself out under this one, but frequent, use case.

I'm a big fan of tabs; I thought they improve efficiency and reduce clutter, so I'm curious why ZCS 5 would introduce behaviour that on the face of it seems almost to be a kind of regression.

I expect I am missing something major here, yes? What was Zimbra trying to fix that they thought was broken in 4.5.x?

    All the best,
    Mark
