Default Outgoing mail seen as Spam

    Hi All,
I have installed the latest version of Zimbra and all is well.
The only problem I am having is that external mail seems to be returned rejected
by mail servers seeing it as spam.
The server is behind a NAT Firewall (untangle) , our external mail is hosted (POP)
    by a ISP.
It appears that the mail servers don't trust the sending IP?

Any help will be appreciated, I am not a network guru, so simple explanations would be welcome!

    Thanks
    Rory

Many mailservers consider that mails sent from a DSL/cable IP are spams.

If you want to avoid this, you need to use a smarthost : your ZCS server forwards all outgoing mail to a server that stands on the Internet (not at the end of a DSL line) and this server sends the mails to the destination servers.

This way, the destination servers see the mails arriving from a "nice" server and do not tag it spam.
