I'm not sure if this is the right thread to post but here goes.
I have been using Scalix for a while and I'm very disappointing in some areas. So here I am evaluating Zimbra to see if there is an opportunity for me to migrate.
I'm more concern on the licensing since we are just a small company (a round 300 mail users with POP3, IMAP and Webmail access). If you look at Scalix they provide 15 Premium Users and unlimited standard users.
Premium Users means that user are able to use Outlook to sync with their calenders, providing a complete collaboration system.
Standard user in other hand only have webmail calendaring support through their Scalix Web Access (SWA).
Still POP3 and IMAP is an option for the user to use for both type of account and provides unlimited account for these service.
So how does Zimbra licensing works then ? Is Zimbra Open Source Edition have unlimited POP3, IMAP, Webmail access and its Free like Scalix?
Since only few of our users here using Outlook, we dont see any problem to migrate those users to use POP3 or Webmail instead.
Your advise and opinions are welcome.
