Default Html rendering in 5.0.11

Hello,

I'm having trouble with html rendering since I updated to 5.0.11GA (Open Source Edition), some mails received in html and were rendering correctly before the update are no longer being rendered, I see the html code instead of the rendered page.
This also happens with mails received before the update (which were correctly viewed in 5.0.10).
I have checked the html rendering is on (on the preferences menu).

Has anyone else had this problem? Is this a known issue?
I didn't notice any particular error message during the update, or anything unusual.

Thanks for your help,
Harpo

please post "view original" of such a message. redact the content if you need to, but we need to see the mime-version, content-type, boundaries, and a good sample of the html style.

Here's the ending of the header and the beginning of the message body.
Thanks!

Need the internal MIME structure. There must be ----=_NextPart_000_0003_01C94E01.C1EA9580 delimeters and Content-Type/Content-Disposition headers within the body.

If these internal structures do not exist, then blame the software of eListas.net.

They do exist, sorry I accidentally cut them out in the first post, didn't want the full dump clobbering the post.

I've posted the full email here:

That is still unreadable: extra and missing spaces.

I'm very interested in this because if this is a real reproducible problem, my 5.0.11 upgrade for this weekend is off.

Can you post the unaltered content? Right-click, show-original. In the new window or tab, Save As.

These don't seem to match (and 2 are fixed):

Bug 32872 – HTML Client : Mail body spoiled with html tags on reply
Bug 32450 – html client: html-message without body shows html-entities in the mail(instead of blank)
Bug 32822 – HTML Client - Message body missing on send (html compose)

Done. I had to copy-and-paste it before, because I didn't have access to the mailbox of the user experiencing this, and only had the forwarded message.

I uploaded the original in the same location as before

Thanks!

I see the same issue in both 5.0.8 and 5.0.10, not specific to 5.0.11.

The Content-Type: multipart/related; type="multipart/alternative"; seems strange to me, as does the large amount of text before the first MIME delimiter. If you can get the actual message source before it hit the mailing list server eListas.net, that might be interesting.

Entered with a wild guess as to cause as Bug 33526 - Bad display of multipart/related msg with long preamble before MIME delimiter

A little more info on this..

The user has been receivin this newsletter for about half a year now, so we have a good number of issues to look at.
Most of them look just like the one I sent you, Zimbra displays some undecoded text, and it also displays very few lines, so the main body of the message is not displayed at all.

I've tried opening the dump I sent you (and some other dumps from similar mails) in Thunderbird, and they are correctly displayed there. So there's nothing basically wrong with the mail, nonetheless it's sent from Windows Mail 6.0, so we could kinda expect it not to exactly follow the standards.

After browsing the rest of the newsletter issues, I've found one that does get the main body displayed, after the usual undecoded text. I'm sending the screenshot so you can see what I'm talking about, and the code for this other mail.

Default Supposedly fixed in 5.0.9

I am just starting to see printing issues in 5.0.8. Was this or was this not fixed in 5.0.9? It appears that people are still seeing print issues in later versions.

I don't want to upgrade to 5.0.11 if this printing issue is still alive.

Any comments?
