Default Sharing folders outside the Zimbra server

Is it possible to share folders with people who are not users on out Zimbra server?

Our user case is that we have some Documents that we now and then would like other people contribute to. Is this possible, or do they have to have an account on our server?

Default I think they need an account.

All things I have shared require user logon to access. I don't believe you would want to put anything out on the Internet that doesn't require authentication to access. Otherwise, anyone would be able to access.

Well I might have been a bit unclear. I do what the people we share with to authenticate themselves, but without having to be Zimbra users.

btw. I can easily see use cases where it might be intersting to share documents that are openly available to everyone on the internet, but not in this particualr case...

    Default Authentication is through Zimbra.

So I don't see anyway other than setting them up as a Zimbra user. It is possible to setup users and restrict what they can do such as not sending mail.

Can you share it out as a "read-only authenticated external user" and then modify the permissions via zmprov? You can view the permissions if you select the mailbox and do 'gfg /Notebook' for example.

Update: Nope, not that easy.. It's missing the editing tools around it in the page. I can set read-write permission for the guest but there's no way for the user to edit the page.
