    Default Auto-response message

One of my users just informed me that our auto-responses are not being sent to external email addresses.

I have tested our ability to send mail and that seems to be fine. We are also using postfix mta's at the outside edge of our mail system. I have eliminated those as a possible suspect by using a domain that does not send through them.

The main issue is I do not want upset customers because they couldn't reach anyone.

    Thank you,
    Troy

    Welcome to the forums

Have them send a test message and check /var/log/zimbra.log and /opt/zimbra/log/mailbox.log to see what is happening.

    > mailbox - outofoffice not sent (already sent)

Logs says clearly already sent. Autoresponse is sent only 1st time when a user sends a mail to person with outofoffice set. Successive mails from same user doesn't initiate autoresponse.

Make sure the "issue" isn't on the remote side. I have seen a lot of cases where "Out of Office" messages get treated as Spam/Junk.

That is what I had been leaning toward. It's just strange that I didn't see it in the spam folder.

    Thanks again.
