Default [SOLVED] SPAM button - does it work in 7.0

Hello, when I press the SPAM button in OCS7.0 and then delete the message from Junk folder, any new message from the same sender, or with the same content, etc. still appears in the Inbox. Is this correct? I expected that once I tagged the message as SPAM all future messages would go directly to Junk or even be deleted. Thanks.

    No, it's not correct.

You leave the messages in the Junk folder so they will train the anti-spam system, they will be deleted after a number of days set in the Admin UI. Have a read of the Product Documentation for further details on the anti-spam system.

A small clarification: if you mark a message as spam and then delete it from the Junk folder, the antispam system will still be trained.

If you want to block all messages from a given sender, then you'll want to set up a blocklist. Preferences > Mail > Junk Mail Options. Or you create a filter based on the address, subject, etc., by right-clicking the message. Filters can discard messages (NOTE: they're discarded without a trace), file them directly into Trash. If you know what you're doing you can even auto-file them into Junk. See Bug 37164 – mail filed into Junk by Filters is not used to train anti-spam

Thanks for your replies. I appreciate your input and I will look at both responses and see what works best for me.
