Default Calendar sharing with every user on zimbra domain

How can I select every user on the zimbra domain to share a calendar without having to manually input every user account?

If you have an all staff distribution list, just share it out to that.

We add the domain as a viewer for all our staff/faculty at our site. Here is the command:

    zmprov sm <username@domain.com> mfg /Calendar domain <your.domain> r

This can only be done from the command line. The user cannot remove it from the share dialog box in the web client. To remove the share, replace the 'r' above with 'none'.

This allows anyone who is in "your.domain" to mount and view that calendar.

is this to share a domain users default calendar? what if the user has an additional calendar on their account which they want to share?

how would i include that in the via the CLI?

Yes, the command above is for the users default calendar. If the user had a second calendar called "Corporate_Visits", then you would just use the command:

    zmprov sm <username@domain.com> mfg /Corporate_Visits domain <your.domain> r

mfg = Modify Folder Grants, so you just need to specify the folder path for any calendar. You could also use this command for mail, tasks, briefcases, etc.

The only way I've found to do this is by scripting zmmailbox commands. If you have a lot of users, it could take a while to run, not to mention you'd really like to not have to rerun it whenever you add new users.

Considering how often this comes up you'd think there'd be a bunch of RFEs in bugzilla, but the only one I found was: Bug 49941 - Option to make shares persistent when shared through distribution list, choose mount point name/color

This would also be useful: Bug 49127 - Shares to distribution lists should be automatically published

I believe it's the votes that carry the weight on these things, so I suggest you pony up if you care about this.

I am having the same issue so was checking out this post.

Does the "Find Shares..." link underneath a user's calendar listings actually do anything? I have tried finding shared calendars that way for various users and it never comes up with anything.

I was hoping to be able to make a calendar available to a user just if they need to look up something, but not sit in there calendar listings all the time.
