Question [SOLVED] Mac Address book + LDAP + Zimbra

Is it possible to configure Mac address book to look up names in our Zimbra server using LDAP?

I can successfully query from the console using the command
    ldapsearch -x -H ldap://zimbra 389 "uid=zrox"

    It successfully returns the query.

When I add the LDAP account in address book, and use the "dc= , dc=" provided in the results above, mac address book does not show any entries.

    What am I missing?

gee, I think I hear crickets.

It works now, the search base string was wrong.

So the search base provided by the ldapsearch command is not the one to use in address book.

Now it works in both Outlook 2011 & Mac address book

Maybe you like to share the right search base string with us.

Hmm .. since its relevant only to my domain, I dont think it would be helpful.

But I will try to give some detail.

    My zimbra is at

    and my email is: and

    ldapsearch returns the string as

    dn: uid=zrox,ou=people,dc=zimbra,dc=abc,dc=xyz,dc=com

    So I tried

It did not work. Then today I changed it to

    It worked.
