    Question error message : 554 5.7.1 : Client host rejected: Access denied

    I repost my post .. using Zimbra for Free.fr mailbox .. I cannot use out of home .... I perfectly use with my smartphone , but with my Laptop impossible to get out of home .. I cannot send any messages.

    the errors message got is : error message : 554 5.7.1 : Client host rejected: Access denied

    I'm trying to use outlook/thunderbird same stories


    I'm try to change the smtp config :
    smtp port 25 - not authentification _ not working message don't start at all with some error window 804xxxxxx
    smtp port 465 - SSL (as recommended by free.fr site support) _ not working error message 554 5.7.1 : Client host rejected: Access denied
    smtp port 587 - SSL same story
    smtp port 587 - MDA same story

    ideas are welcome

    You should read some of the solutions in the forums. The likelihood is that you're getting rejected because of a setting on the free.fr mail servers and we have no access to that nor can we check the server settings so you'd have to contact free for support. If you want a better experience with the Free mail service then try Zimbra Desktop, I use it with my free.fr mail account and it works fine.

    thank you .. I already read all thread on this ... DNS failure mode to summarize ... I send request to free.fr support ... they come back to me by saying that I need to deal with Zimbra .. for Zimbra I have to check with free .... well ....

    no more comment . I will do my best to find a working solution the most acceptable than possible ... and when I can I will change full setup .. email adress provider & no zimbra interface ....
    All my friend around me have a full working solution ..... then the impossible is possible !

    The problem here is that Free use the Open Source version of Zimbra and there is no support provided for that, you can ask questions on these forum but they are not official Zimbra support, answers you receive here are from people that post voluntarily.

    This is not a specific problem with Zimbra, to diagnose the problem we would need information from the log files and details of the Zimbra Server configuration, we don't have that. Your problem could be caused by any number of reasons, one of which is that your IP address may be on a blacklist (check that) or for some reason the receiving server thinks you're trying to relay through them - take your pick of the many explanations on the internet for this problem. It's not that we don't want to help you it's because we don't have access to any information that would point to what is causing your problem.

    As I've already mentioned, I use Zimbra Desktop with my free.fr account and I have no problem sending mail anywhere. Why don't you try ZD and send an email to the 'problem' account and see what happens?
