Error Update 8.6.0 to 8.7.0

Hello Zimbra Team,

i have Updates the Zimbra Server .. but at the Point "Start MySQL" the System hangs ..

i have found the reasen and fixed it with
ln -s /opt/zimbra/data/tmp/mysql/mysql.sock /opt/zimbra/db/mysql.sock

this line i have also added to /opt/zimbra/bin/mysql

Can you please write a fix ?

I can confirm I had the same issue. This solution fixed the problem and the install continued. Upgraded from 8.6 Patch 7 to 8.7 / Ubuntu 14.04 64bits

I have another mysql instance running on the same server (port 3306), but I don't think it's related.

It seems the best solution is to delete the key "mysql_socket" from localconfig.xml prior to updating. Then there are no workarounds necessary.
