Currently I have an Open version on a virtualize Ubuntu 32b server and I want to migrate on a 64b physical one (I can't do a VtoP operation because of XenServer ...)
That's why I tried this script after configuring the physical server as a replica LDAP.

If you confirm that I can upgrade the virtualize server, do a backup and import it on the physical server, I will take this solution.

Maybe there is a problem with backup between 32b and 64b version ??

On the other hand, I want to thanks hinyinlam for his script. It is useful.

Hi,

great work on this script, much appreciated.
has anyone tried this script out with latest stable release of zimbra?
I am hoping to find a solution to migrating our existing zimbra to new server hardware, and from ubuntu 8.04LTS to 10.04LTS.
thanks

welcome, please do not try this script over version 6 or 7 as it is possible that it will corrupt your destination data (don't worry, it won't crash your source server)
I use heavily regex to replace the blob and that's why it is so fast and can use rsync.
database structure in 6 or 7 is surely different from the old one and those regex will fail sliently.
