Migration after recovery

My first post :-)
Kind of simple question
I have a clean backup of the /opt/zimbra folder (Opensource 8.6)
Is there any way to recover it (accounts/domains) into a new fresh install of 8.7 ?

It is my only option since a did a wrong "do-release-upgrade" on an ubuntu 14 LTS so now it's 16.04.1

Any help will be appreciated !

Ubuntu 16.04 support for zimbra 8.7 is still labelled as BETA on the downloads page as this time so for production a better/safer option would be to rebuild the Ubuntu server to 14.04 and install the same 8.6 version back on it, and follow the wiki for the steps to install/rsync/upgrade/etc to get everything back right. I would wait until everything is in a known good state before attempting to go forward to 8.7

Hello liverpoolfcfan
I exactly did that and it works like a charm now.
I was a little bit panicked but it's ok.
Now i will setup certbot again. Btw, zimbra should support it "out of the box" it will be a great alternative to the self signed certs :-)
