Error transportfile when install zimbra 8.5beta2

Ah, I see you said you're using the transport maps. That seems like the correct method to me for what you're trying to do.

Please Help replace command: zmlocalconfig -e postfix_smtp_sasl_password_maps=hash:/opt/zimbra/conf/relay_password by use zmprov in zimbra 8.5 beta2.

a) You need to convert your hash DB to an LMDB DB, as noted several times in this thread

b) It is trivial to find what a postfix key maps to:

grep sasl_password_maps conf/zmconfigd.cf

POSTCONF smtp_sasl_password_maps VAR zimbraMtaSmtpSaslPasswordMaps

So what you need to update is zimbraMtaSmtpSaslPasswordMaps. If you upgraded a server to the BETA, it should have migrated the LC key to LDAP for you already, you just need to fix it to use lmdb instead of hash.

Error transportfile when install zimbra 8.5beta2

Postby fguevara1979 » Thu Aug 28, 2014 11:59 am

Hi there!

Sorry to bother again with this question..but I have been trying to find a clear answer and I couldn't find any valid way to use external MTA with Zimbra 8.5 (with authentication of course).

Even the docummentation on the Zimbra Wiki says that the new version does not support the usual approach (which has worked fine for a Zimbra 8.07 in my tests).
Could someone explain to me how to setup an external MTA with authentication under Zimbra 8.5 step by step?? I simply cannot find the steps for the new version as for the previous ones on the wiki (Outgoing SMTP Authentication - Zimbra :: Wiki) . Also neither an internet search retrieved valid answers. On the other hand, this forum thread looked related, but I need all the steps since I don't know what I am missing (The server seems to be attempting to relay the emails without authenticating).
Thanks in advance!

Facundo
