Zimbra 8.5.0 and centos 7 not working after reboot

Postby ckruijntjens » Tue Aug 26, 2014 4:56 pm

Hi all,
I installed zcs 8.5.0 on a centos 7 server everything went fine,

But after a server reboot the admin gui is not reachable anymore??

All services are up and running.
Does any one have the same problem?
Chris

Anything listening on port 7071?
Anything in /opt/zimbra/log/mailbox.log?

Hi ckruijntjens,

Did you maybe disable iptables for a while and then afer reboot you have iptables on again? Try checking this o SELINUX.
Best regards

Hi i tried disabling iptables but that is not the issue. After a reboot i can connect to apache but it saus that it can not find zimbra admin. This is only after a reboot. If i let it run there is no issue??

Not sure what you mean by connect to apache. Zimbra uses jetty and/or nginx primarily. Apache is only used for the spell checker bits. You also did not answer my question about port 7071 listening? I suggest doing something like:

netstat -an | grep 7071

To make sure there is a listener on the admin console port

It looks like the other webapps such as /service, /zimbra, and /zimbraAdmin did not get installed correctly on this system, or were somehow removed/put into an invalid state after the reboot.
A couple questions.
- Can you provide the output of $zmprov gs zimbraServiceEnabled
- Do you see /opt/zimbra/jetty/webapps/service, /opt/zimbra/jetty/webapps/zimbra, /opt/zimbra/jetty/webapps/zimbraAdmin?
- Do you see any errors in zmmailboxd.out when the server starts? Might help to move that log away and do a restart so you have a clean copy of it; as you'll get a bunch of bogus errors after the first 'real' error
