[SOLVED] Problem when change IP

Postby himoi » Mon May 26, 2008 9:37 pm

Hello all,

I using Zimbra 5.05 on CentOS 4.4 x86 that IP is 172.33.33.5, when i move all database to new server (this server to test new functions, upgrade...) that ip is 172.33.39.3. Now the new server can not start

Host mymail.server.com

antispam Running

antivirus Running

ldap Running

logger Running

mailbox Stopped

zmmailboxdctl is not running

mta Running

snmp Running

spell Running

stats Running

I check /opt/zimbra/log/zmmailboxd.out, i saw that:

Zimbra server reserving server socket port=110 bindaddr=172.33.33.5 ssl=false

Fatal error: exception while binding to ports

java.net.BindException: Cannot assign requested address
I used

zmprov -l gs mymail.server.com | grep Bind

zimbraPop3BindAddress: 172.33.33.5
After, i used:

zmprov -l ms mymail.server.com -zimbraPop3BindAddress 172.33.39.3

zmcontrol stop

zmcontrol start
But my server still can not start

Check again and i still see

zmprov -l gs mymail.server.com | grep Bind

zimbraPop3BindAddress: 172.33.33.5
What happen?

Please help me
Thanks

I'm having the same problem. I am new to Zimbra and am trying to get this problem resolved for a client. The domain name has since been redirected to another server. Could this be a cause of the error? Is there a way that I can get it running by just pointed the web browser at an IP address?
Thanks
