Importing DKIM keys

Postby mrgreiner » Fri Oct 24, 2014 8:17 am

Hi,

I'm planning to support DKIM in my server, but Zimbra only has instructions on how to generate keys internaly. Since I have a secondary server which is not Zimbra based (it's a Debian 7/Postfix), this is not viable. I need a way to either have access to the private keys generated by zmdkimkeyutil, so I can import them with openDKIM, or a way to import the openDKIM keys into Zimbra. Has anyone done any of those two?

My production server is Zimbra 8.0.7, running in Ubuntu 12.4.

Thanks,

Roberto

Importing DKIM keys

Hi,

No, I've never done it before but as far as I understand, opendkim keys are domain related, not host related (you add the info into your LDAP). Are you also creating a new domain? If not, and you are using that Debian7/Postfix only as an external MTA for your Zimbra, I guess it should be enough for you to have the proper dkim key in your Zimbra LDAP and then the proper DNS public record.

Am I understanding something wrong maybe?
