enforcing sender/sasl match and domain aliases

Postby mahn » Tue Feb 10, 2015 8:25 am

Hi. I have a question regarding enforcing sender/sasl match. What setup should be made to allow users using domain aliases in sender field to send their mail? (8.6). Wiki article notes that aliases don't need to be setup - but i don't know if domain aliases should.
To be more simple:
1. domain mail.com has all users.
2. domain mail2.com is set as an alias to mail.com.
3. sasl/sender enforcement is set.
4. users using @mail.com as auth and sender address can send their mail.
5. users using @mail2.com as auth and sender address can't - enforcement is in place.
What setup should be made? Do I miss something? Notes regarding 8.6 in wiki article (http://wiki.zimbra.com/wiki/Enforcing_a_match_between_FROM_address_and_sasl_username_8.5) should be more clear I think.
Thanks!

Hi mahan,

this functionality is a MUST for me, but at the moment is not possible, in fact the query done by postfix can't be complex (I think)

Read out this:

https://www.mail-archive.com/postfix-users@postfix.org/msg61758.html

and tell me what do you think.
