Zimbra Internal Free Busy doesn't work

Postby Fabio S. Schmidt » Wed May 13, 2015 7:21 am

Hi,

We have Zimbra 8.0.8 deployed and we started to use the Calendar intensively. I have noticed that the the information about the user availability is not working. I mean, when I try to invite an internal user, its status is always being displayed as "Unknown".

Is there any resource that we have to enable to start using this functionality?

Zimbra Internal Free Busy doesn't work

Hi Fabio,

I didn't remember to see an error like that before. Can you please upgrade to 8.0.9? 8.0.9 didn't have any issue about this, but just in case. Can you also please share some screenshot with the error? And the complete zmcontrol -v as we can see your OS too.

Zimbra Internal Free Busy doesn't work

Postby Fabio S. Schmidt » Mon May 18, 2015 12:50 pm

Hi Jorge,

I have checked and it appears to be a problem with this particular environment. I mean, I have installed the same OS and the same Zimbra version on a test VM and this issue doesn't occur. I have also checked the configuration and there are no errors as well.

Any ideas about how I could start debugging it?

Hi,

Does anyone have an idea how could I debug this problem? I tried to follow the documentation below but the only message that I could identify was "fb - can't find free/busy provider for user".

I appreciate any help.

Zimbra Internal Free Busy doesn't work

Postby Fabio S. Schmidt » Fri May 22, 2015 11:16 am

Hi,

Just for the record, the problem was related with the zimbraMailTransport parameter.

A few months ago we had an issue with routes and we have changed it to 127.0.0.0.1. So I have just changed this parameter to our zmhostname for all accounts.

Thanks for any assistance.

Hi Jorge,

Yes, it is working properly after I change the para meter which I mentioned.

Let me know when you create the wiki entry.

Kind regards.
