Free up disk space in Zimbra 8.6. Bug?

Postby christianrj » Sat Nov 05, 2016 12:09 pm

Hi! I have a Zimbra 8.6 server with 511 GB disk space in use.

Today, I cleaned up an account inbox that uses 11 GB in disk (also deleted the trash and dumpster). The disk usage reduced from 11 GB to 300 MB (reported by Zimbra Admin Console). I did everything in command line, with the commands:

Code: Select all

zmmailbox -z -m account@domain emptyFolder /Inbox

Code: Select all

zmmailbox -z -m account@domain  -A emptyDumpster

But for my surprise, after issuing the command:

Code: Select all

df -h

The disk space in use on the server remains 511 GB. How can this be possible? I did something wrong? How to free up the disk space used by the account without messing up my Zimbra installation? I think this should be done automatically by Zimbra?

Thank you!

Maybe blobs were related and linked to others mails in others mailbox and are still in use.
