ZCS 8.7.1 export mailbox to .tgz fails with connection refused or invalid uri

Postby vladimirvasic » Wed Nov 09, 2016 3:22 pm

I have a fresh installed ZCS 8.7.1 in production with about 10 email accounts.

1. View mail as other user from Admin UI does not work. When clicked it opens new tab and comes back unreachable.
2. Export mailbox to .tgz file returns invalid uri or connection refused;

zmmailbox -z -m user@domain.com getRestURL '/?fmt=tgz' > /tmp/user@domain.com.tgz

ERROR: zclient.IO_ERROR (Unable to get REST resource from https://host.domain.com:8080/home/user@ ... m/?fmt=tgz: Connection refused) (cause: java.net.ConnectException Connection refused)

This is the same whether I sun it as the zimbra user or as root with full path to zmmailbox.
Is this endemic to the new 8.7.1 version? Does it have to do with the now mandatory reverse proxy? On 8.6 these errors never occured.

Please advise.

zmcontrol -v
Release 8.7.1.GA.1670.UBUNTU16.64 UBUNTU16_64 FOSS edition.

This thread should help... https://forums.zimbra.org/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=60746

Briefly, you need this. It is documented in this link: https://wiki.zimbra.com/wiki/Enabling_Zimbra_Proxy_and_memcached#Protocol_Requirements_Including_HTTPS_Redirect

Code: Select all

zmprov md example.com zimbraPublicServicePort 443
zmprov md example.com zimbraPublicServiceProtocol https
zmprov mcf zimbraPublicServiceHostname mail.example.com
zmmailboxdctl restart
