Hi all,
we have an existing ZCS 7.2 Open Source installation serving multiple domains. I've to migrate only 1 domain from ZCS 7.2 Open Source to a new ZCS installation (same ZCS version).
Due to privacy constraints, I cannot rsync the whole systems (LDAP, mysql, ...), but I've to export/import only my domain accounts. I need to minimize ZCS downtime.
What's the suggested approach for the migration?
P.S. I know I can export LDAP data while filtering non interesting domains (/opt/zimbra/openldap/sbin/slapcat -F /opt/zimbra/data/ldap/config -a '(!(entryDN:dnSubtreeMatch:=ou=people,dc=dummy,dc=com))' -b "")...but how to filter mysql data?
Tnx & br,
Simone.

Hi Raun,
great news! Some questions:
1. Is the "per domain account export/import" feature testable with ZCS 8.8 Beta (not using production environment)?
2. do you known when ZCS 8.8 will be available?
3. does ZCS 8.8 version support imports from ZCS 7.2?
4. does the export/import feature will be available also for the Open Source Version?
Tnx & br,
Simone.

Yes you can test it on ZCS 8.8 beta but you would need license . It would not be available on FOSS as it is a paid feature but you can pay for it and it will work on FOSS as well.
ZCS 8.8 should be out by end of July.
Check the Zextra documentation for point 3

Just to better understand: is this new ZCS 8.8 feature a "porting" of Zextras into ZCS? Where I can find more details about feature license (ex. pricing)?
Tnx & br,
Simone.

Is the ZCS 8.8 documentation available? I would like to understand how ZCS export feature works.
Tnx & br,
Simone.
