SSL Certificate Invalid after iOS 11.3 Upgrade

Hi,
I have just upgraded my iPhone and all I get now is dialogs telling me my ssl certificate is invalid for my zimbra mail server imap login.
Anyone any ideas please?

Hi,

Are you using a self-signed certificate?

Hi,

Yes it's the one created during the installation of zimbra by zimbra.
Every other device accepts it, just that after the iOS 11.3 update on my iPhone it no longer is accepted by that iPhone. So I have stopped any further iOS updates until it gets resolved.

I'd suggest you obtain a valid SSL certificate. Mobile carriers, Apple in particular, are getting more and more strict about requiring them and making it difficult to bypass self-signed certificate warnings. Certificates can be pretty cheaply obtained these days (and free from letsencrypt, even though you have to replace them quarterly), which really makes it an easy decision.

Hi,
I managed to fix the problem by deleting the zimbra account on my iPhone then reinstalled it. This gave me the opportunity to Trust the certificate again and all is now working.
It appears when the iOS upgrade complains about the certificate it does give you the opportunity to re-trust the certificate at that stage.
Another feature from Apple....

Eventually when all the Dev is done I will get sone certificates but everything is in a flux right now.
