Running Zimbra without SSL/encryption

Postby ckillian » Wed Aug 22, 2018 5:58 pm

Now, before anyone goes off the rails about not encrypting let me explain the use case.

I am implementing Zimbra on an amateur radio mesh network. For reference see https://www.arednmesh.org/

Any type of encryption over amateur radio frequency allocations is strictly forbidden by FCC part 97 rules. Enough said.

We want to use Zimbra as a way of collaborating across a wide area during emergencies, read... no internet. A microwave mesh network provides the connectivity we need in an emergency. Zimbra is just about perfect for what we want to do so I really don't want to use anything else.

Is there a way to install, or preferably just configure after installation, Zimbra, in such a way that there is no need for SSL/encryption?

Chuck...
