Persistant changes in main.cf – how to do it?

Postby syntaxys » Tue Mar 02, 2021 3:16 pm

Hello together,
I'm getting crazy with making changes in main.cf persistant:

Code: Select all

zimbra@zimbra:~$ zmlocalconfig -e zimbraMtaVirtualAliasMaps="proxy:ldap:/opt/zimbra/conf/ldap-vam.cf, pcre:/opt/zimbra/common/conf/virtual"
zimbra@zimbra:~$ postconf -e virtual_alias_maps="proxy:ldap:/opt/zimbra/conf/ldap-vam.cf, pcre:/opt/zimbra/common/conf/virtual"
zimbra@zimbra:~$ postconf virtual_alias_maps="proxy:ldap:/opt/zimbra/conf/ldap-vam.cf, pcre:/opt/zimbra/common/conf/virtual"
zimbra@zimbra:~$ zmlocalconfig -e postconf_virtual_alias_maps="proxy:ldap:/opt/zimbra/conf/ldap-vam.cf, pcre:/opt/zimbra/common/conf/virtual"
zimbra@zimbra:~$ postconf | grep virtual_alias_maps
proxy_read_maps = $local_recipient_maps $mydestination $virtual_alias_maps …
virtual_alias_maps = proxy:ldap:/opt/zimbra/conf/ldap-vam.cf, pcre:/opt/zimbra/common/conf/virtual

zimbra@zimbra:~$ zmmtactl restart

zimbra@zimbra:~$ postconf | grep virtual_alias_maps
proxy_read_maps = $local_recipient_maps $mydestination $virtual_alias_maps …
virtual_alias_maps = proxy:ldap:/opt/zimbra/conf/ldap-vam.cf

How may I get this done?!?? Any idea? I'm working with 8.8.15 (3996) Thanks for your help!

Regards
Achim

You need to check the /opt/zimbra/conf/zmconfigd.cf file.
Here you can ovewrite or check how the postfix variable have been set.

Your case :
grep virtual_alias_maps /opt/zimbra/conf/zmconfigd.cf
POSTCONF virtual_alias_maps VAR zimbraMtaVirtualAliasMaps

VAR = ldap
LOCAL = localconfig

You need to set, as zimbra

zmprov ms `zmhostname` zimbraMtaVirtualAliasMaps 'VALUE'

Return to “Administrators”
