Zimbra "Documents" feature

Postby jeromeof » Sat Jul 08, 2006 1:44 pm

hi,

Sorry if this is answered elsewhere but I have installed the new 3.2 Beta release and it went pretty smoothly but I cannot see any of the new features. Specifically I was interested in the Zimbra documents feature, as it looks pretty good in the private hosted demo. So basically I was wondering did this feature get included in the beta release? If so how do I enable it?
Thanks
Jerome

It was a fresh install or an upgrade??
i have installes also 3.2 an I have all the new features enable after installing Zimbra.
Im not sure but I think you can enable it typing this

zmprov mc "your COS" zimbraFeatureNoteBookEnable TRUE or

zmprov mc "your COS" zimbraFeatureNBEnable TRUE or

zmprov mc "your COS" zimbraFeatureNotebookEnable TRUE or any variation of the word Notebook wich is the feture you eant to enable it

Note: "your COS" must be written without the quotes, if havent created any new COS just write default in "your COS" section.

Note2: rember that the variation of NoteBook should be start with Caps, try also NOTEBOOK
bye

Zimbra "Documents" feature

Hi,

It was an update. I installed the 3.1 version a few days ago and played around with it a bit, then updated the version to the 3.2 beta (I won't be planning to use this until later in the summer so I think the 3.2 would be closer to the version I will use).

I have figured out the issue, I had to clear all caches. I also cleared the zimbra/tomcat/work etc. directory also, but now I see the new features. I think the "Ajax" javascript was being cached and therefore the client was actually the previous version rather than the new version.

Looks like that's your problem.
To be honest, your very best bet will be to wait until an update comes out, as there are some known bugs with the 3.2 edition.
I'm not sure this will help, but did you try logging out and logging back in?
I did a bugs search, but nothin.

Yes, here too. Firefox 1.5.0.4 and IE 6 both crash when going to the "documents" page.

Zimbra "Documents" feature

Hi,

The Zimbra Documents feature is not enabled by default. To enable it, go to your admin UI and go to your class of service. It's in there, because I had the issue as well.

AdminUI ->Class of Service -> default -> Features -> check "Notebook"
However, please keep in mind that there are sme known issues where in certain instances, clicking on the icon can cause your browser to freeze.
