Could not create documents.

Postby sshgz » Wed Aug 16, 2006 4:58 am

I have installed zcs 4 rc1 in the FC4 or FC5, and found some problem.
1.

I found that the notebook did not support chinese file name of the attachment and the url of the attachment used the FQDN rather than IP address.
2.

When i installed zcs 4 rc1 in the FC4, i could used the "notebook".

When i installed zcs 4 rc1 in the FC5, i couldn't use the "notebook". These are some errors from the file "zimbra.log" :
"2006-08-16 17:15:04,210 INFO [http-80-Processor98] [mid=2;ip=192.168.182.120;name=test1@poops.org;] SoapEngine - handler exception

1. use bugzilla for reporting bugs, not the forum. with respect to the attachment url, why would you expect ip instead of fqdn, and whats the problem with that? i would think it would use the fqdn of the server for all url's.
2. search the forums for the answer to this. short answer, create the documents area in admin/domain/documents.

1. Because the client can't resolve the FQDN.

I used the command "zmprov initNotebook wiki@poops.org 123456" to init the notebook and restarted the zimbra.

But the same error happened.

Have you also enabled Documents via the Admin UI?

This thread has been merged as it pertains to the original problem you mentioned here, please don't keep posting new messages about one problem.
Try reversing the setting you did in this command:

zmprov initNotebook wiki@poops.org 123456

then set the Documents in the Admin UI.

This feature is still considered BETA even in Zibra 4 RC1. You will get help if we don't have to look all over the forum for your messages. ;)

Now i run the command: "zmprov initNotebook wiki@poops.org 123456".

Some messages show :

"Initializing folder

Creating folder Template

INFO : updating default account from null to wiki@poops.org

"

I restarted the zimbra and the error happened still.
When i installed the zcs 4, i found the information: "Skipping notebook initialzation", is it the reason for the error?
If i install afresh the zcs 4, which steps will i have to do for using the "Notebook" function?
Thank you.
