ZCO GAL sync not working after upgrade to 8.7

Hello,

ZCO fails to synchronize GAL after upgrade to 8.7. There is the following error in the log:

Any idea ? Or anyone else experience same error ? This used to work fine prior to upgrade.

If I login in the Web client everything works fine. GAL is available and server itself is apparently sync it properly. Only ZCO seem to have some issue with that.

Ok, I might be wrong server us syncing GAL properly. What I see is probably outdated copy of it. This is what I just found in the log:

Forgot to mention, that Zimbra is syncing from Windows 2012 R2 AD server.

Would you mind to open a Support Case, so we can fix the issue quicker? Are you using the latest ZCO as well right?

As mentioned in the trace above:

Zimbra-ZCO/8.7.0.1650 (6.1.7601 SP1 en-US)

I suppose it is the latest one. At least what's included in the GA package. Don't know if there is an update through the package system, nothing appears in 'yum update' yet.

I am curious if this is working for you now? 8.6 seems to break active directory gal...

No, it is still not working and we keep investigating it with Zimbra Support. I found that if you re-create gal account it works for a short time and then it brakes again.

Btw, you probably mean 8.7 and not 8.6? Because in 8.6 it works for me, no problems.

We have investigated this further on with Zimbra Support and it turned out to be a bug. Here is a link to bug tracking database for details and work around:

I'm facing the same problem.
I'm using Zimbra 8.7 with internal GAL and External GAL from AD
Cannot connect Outlook 2010 to Zimbra GAL using LDAP:
My configuration on Outlook LDAP:
Server: server.domain.tld
user name: uid=username,ou=people,dc=domain,dc=tld
SPA selected
Port: 636
Use SSL

am I doing anything wrong or this is a bug?
