Outlook connector only syncs when user is an administrator

Hi,

We are using the Zimbra Outlook connector to connect to an external server at a partner organisation.
The connector only appears to work when the logged in user is either a domain administrator or local admin. Standard AD users are not able to see any of their mail
when a standard user is logged in, the synchronization appears to work and i can see the number of emails in the synchronization but the connector fails to populate in outlook

Can anyone help, or has anyone seen an issue like this previously?
