Calendars stopped syncing

I DON'T REMEMBER THE STEPS EXACTLY, BUT FROM WHAT I RECALL THIS IS WHAT I DID:

  • STOP ALL BLACKBERRY SERVICES

  • UNINSTALL ZIMBRA BLACKBERRY CONNECTOR

  • UNINSTALL MAPI CDO

  • UNINSTALL OUTLOOK 2007

  • INSTALL LATEST VERSION OF MAPI CDO

  • REINSTALL OUTLOOK 2007

  • PATCH OUTLOOK WITH ALL AVAILABLE UPDATES

  • MAKE SURE BLACKBERRY SERVICES ARE STILL NOT RUNNING

  • INSTALL LATEST VERSION OF ZIMBRA BLACKBERRY CONNECTOR

  • CHECK THAT THE PROPER MAIL PROFILES ARE STILL THERE

  • REBOOT SERVER

  • CHECK THAT ALL BLACKBERRY SERVICES STARTED PROPERLY

TEST APPOINTMENT SYNCING IN BOTH DIRECTIONS BY ADDING/DELETING ENTRIES ON THE BLACKBERRY AND IN ZIMBRA.

Calendars stopped syncing

After seeing the results from mlanner, I am going to go ahead and try a new install. I just wanted to make sure I had the right files. Is 5.0.10 the latest and best BES Connector to be using with this?

Calendars stopped syncing

Thanks mLanner,

Just followed your procedure,

I've set to manual the services startup
rebooted after step 4 and 9
I got all the devices reactived once again once all the services have been reactivated, with duplicates across address book and calendar that can be fixed with the RSET procedure.
The calendar is now working just fine

Vai0l0,
Great. Glad I could help.
Can you tell me more about the "RSET procedure"? Would've come in handy a few times.
Thx.

What is the user that the BlackBerry services should run under, Administrator, Local System, other?
[/QUOTE]
I read in either the ZCB docs or the BES docs that you should create a new user (for example, "BB Admin") in the Administrators group on your server for BES. During the installation process, you put in the access credentials for that user and the BES installer will set it up so that the BlackBerry services run as that user.

Just go to the address book, (works with calendar too)

seect Menu->options

You'll see many "Desktop" services
just blindly type rset

the bb'll ask to delete all contacts just click on yes and ok to all (more Desktop you have, the more you'll be prompted)
In a few minutes the address book should return complete
