CalDAV can sync nested calendars?

Hey all, CalDAV sync from Zimbra to iCal works for the top level calendars, but not cals nested below. Able to add nested calendars using cmdline (as in thread http://www.zimbra.com/forums/administrators/18569-grouping-calendars.html#post93685 )
....but iCal only shows the top level.
Any way I can get the lower levels to show up without sending subscribe URLs?
