iCal broken in 5.0.6?

The trace is in the bugtracking system already. Can you get that one or do you want a new one?

iCal broken in 5.0.6?

BTW: I just noticed that I get the same error when using your hosted demo at testzimbra.com when I use the "full" login name (zm701skrcy@testzimbra.com). When I use only the zm701skrcy login, it works.

iCal broken in 5.0.6?

Postby jholder » Tue Jul 01, 2008 1:25 pm

I'm going to reopen this bug.
It looks like if users auth with an @ sign (needed for multi-domain support),

users can't use via iCal.
My apologies to Frank for quickly assuming this was a different issue.
This also occurs on 5.0.7GA

iCal broken in 5.0.6?

Postby frankske » Tue Jul 01, 2008 1:28 pm

Ok, next question, as this is a major show-stopper for us (the company who's server we've already upgraded to 5.0.6 is a Video-production shop, they have 2 PCs and > 40 mac-users). Is there a procedure to downgrade to 5.0.4 or 5.0.5?
I also have a hunch it's only appearing when adding a new account (and iCal "discovering" the calendars) but that I am not 100% sure.

There isn't a way to downgrade. I'm looking into this now to see if there's a workaround.

Ok. Can you reproduce it on your servers as well or do you want a testaccount on the 5.0.6 I use (it's now half past 8 PM here, so I'll probably won't be online much longer tonight).

I'm able to reliably reproduce. The issue seems to surround the @ sign. I've handed it to the developers to see what they say.

iCal broken in 5.0.6?

Frank, what you described could have been a 5.0.6 bug. We are not able to reproduce on 5.0.7. As we complete the CalDAV feature we try to preserve the existing behavior as much as we can, but slight change in the behavior can be expected. First, can you try using just the username part without @domain and see if it works? You don't need @domain if the user is in default domain. If the user is not in the default domain, then @domain should be used.

iCal broken in 5.0.6?

JLee, I'll try without the @domain at the office, but all of my customers have more than one domain name, so that would not be an option...
Can you confirm it's fixed in 5.0.7 (as jholder seems to indicate he was able to reproduce the bug on 5.0.7)?

There was a flaw in my test on the 5.0.7 this morning. I just tested multi-domain on 5.0.7, (with the @ sign) and it works.
