client startup fails/exits without response

Hi Mates,

This is Peter, using Zimbra client for abt. 10 years on Windows. During the recent years I met sometimes this situation, when my Z client could not start up over 1-3 days long. Then the problem disappaired, and I could use the client again successfully.

Well, a week ago I met again the same phenomenon. However, now it looks stable. Starting Zimbra client every day, the problem is on, the client does not bring up the usual Zimbra window. The startup process works for a while, then no sign of progress.

What should I do to recover my client?
Any hint, please?

... surprisingly it is me the one answering.

I could eliminate the problem.It was the firewall that blocked the startup some way (do not ask me please for the details).
I entered my firewall (Avast), and switchd oft the protection for a 10 minutes period. Then I started Zimbra client. And it could start up perfectly, and displayed the Zimbra window.
I immediately switched the firewall protection ON.
That is all.
