RC1 Changes Noticed

Postby sdrury » Mon Feb 23, 2009 6:17 pm

Hi,
Been using RC1 (Build 1482) since it came out and have noticed some changed behaviour.
- when opening an attachment ZD displays the download box (Firefox), but when finished downloading the box now stays open (in FF this is set to close after finished download).
- this has happened on all versions I have used where you would be typing a new message then a new message arrives you find what you were typing has stopped and the cursor is down on the status bar in 'Find mode' which is very annoying!
Regards,

Sean.

Yes, that's the new default behavior for RC1 now.
Unfortunately we don't yet have a way of letting user to choose on that download dialog. To set it back to close-when-done, here is how:
1) open this file in editor:
on windows:

win32prismextensionsprism-runtime@developer.mozilla.orgdefaultspreferencespreferences.js
on linux:

linux/prism/extensions/prism-runtime@developer.mozilla.org/defaults/preferences/preferences.js
on mac:

macos/prism/Prism.app/Contents/Resources/extensions/prism-runtime@developer.mozilla.org/defaults/preferences/preferences.js
2) set "browser.download.manager.closeWhenDone" to be true
pref("browser.download.manager.closeWhenDone", true);
3) restart ZD

Haven't heard/seen this ever. Can you post a new bug and provide screenshots? Please include the build number and any repro steps if necessary. Thanks.
