Troubleshoot spam training

Postby cscott » Sun Nov 02, 2014 11:59 am

I suspect that SA spam training isn't working correctly. I repeatedly receive almost identical spam mails, mark them as junk, run spam training (sudo -u zimbra /opt/zimbra/bin/zmtrainsa <username> spam), the spam mails are still delivered to my inbox. Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this? e.g. find evidence that the training is doing anything.

Troubleshoot spam training

I seem to have the same issue. Some of our email accounts receive a large amount of spam on a daily basis and other days they bombarded with spam. The same email doubled and tripled right after the other. All are marked as spam but still make it through. The same type or identical email will follow on subsequent days not matter how many times we mark as spam they still make it through.

Troubleshoot spam training

Add another one. I just upgraded all the way from 8.0.7 on ubuntu 10.04 to 8.6 on 14.04. And now the boss is complaining that he's getting TONS of spam, and after looking, he totally is.

I checked to see if the spam account had been removed, but it seems to still be there.

Spam log seems to be training, but somehow has only 400 messages to train from, which I know there used to be WAY more than that. Something is very wrong with the spam accounts...
