Will there be an update to make desktop with with Yosemite - and if not, can anyone tell me how to access the data file off all my filed email to import it into outlook?? I am really in a bad spot with this update and not being able to access my work.
General discussion about Zimbra Desktop.
You have to load the old insecure Java Runtime Environment Version 6. See http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1572
I did that, Zimbra actually wrote back and said they don't support Yosemite.
I am running ZD 7.2.5 on Yosemite fine using Apple's JRE 1.6.
You don't web access to your Zimbra mail account?
No, I use the desktop - I don't have anyone to "collaborate" with to pay the money for the monthly service.
What service do you use ZD with?
Not sure what you mean? I am on a Mac Pro with Yosemite operating system. I have 5 different pop3 accounts that I use, but those don't matter at this point because Zimbra won't even open. It's not a matter of not being able to get to the accounts, I can't even get to the software
I would completely uninstall ZD (see docs on how to do this) then completely uninstall all java versions, both JRE and JDK. Then install Apple Java 1.6 JRE. Then install ZD Mac 7.2.5. Java can gum up ZD when multiple versions have been installed.
Will doing this delete all my previous folders that I had set up for organization and all the emails? If so, then it doesn't do me any good. I am using a different system and just want to retrieve my emails at this point.
