Mail rejected, reverse dns failed?

We have many mail queues, and the msg: Mail rejected, reverse dns failed.

You've not given us much to go on, which does not bode well for you understanding what I'm about to say.



It sounds very much like you are sending from an IP address that does not have a valid reverse dns entry. Most sane mail servers will reject mail where the inbound connection is coming from an address that does not have a reverse entry that corresponds in some way with the FROM address you are poking into it. Are you on a domestic ADSL or something with a dynamic IP address by any chance?
