The huge fonts, pop up flags, and lack of a coherent forum "drill down through containers" functionality is worse than that crap they have over on Google Apps.

If your intent was to make Google and Miscrosoft look good. You succeeded. This is ridiculous.

[mention:97d0e445f4ba42a0b1f2c2be292ea119:e9ed411860ed4f2ba0265705b8793d05] , I'm sorry this is such a jarring change from the old message boards. Our guys are looking at the feedback everyone is providing. We will definitely not be going back to message boards, but we are working to make this environment easier for you to use. Please hang in there with us until we can open up the data from the old message board.

BTW, what do you mean by "pop up flags"?

The Click Here pop ups showings us where to login, what's new, and absolutely would not go away until you clicked all the way through on each one...

Jenn -- you have multiple times said you don't know what these pop-ups are everyone is complaining about -- please, log out of your company account -- open a new browser with a fresh session, make a new account... and experience the pain we are all going through.

Seconded. This fancy "my own private facebook" toy isn't usable for productivity.

Very clearly understood. It wasn't meant to be a Facebook clone. We tried (and clearly failed) to get something up as quickly as possible. Over the next few days and weeks we're going to make some changes to this to operate more like a technical forum, similar to what we've done with customers like Rackspace.

Thank you...

For constructive purposes...

1. Easily searchable with options for finding by forum subgroup, topic, text included in body of thread, or by poster.

2. Logically laid out sub-groupings for Admins, End users, Developers, etc...

3. Does not require visual bling. Fancy icons are nice, finding the info we need to keep Zimbra up and running is better. :-)

Regards,

1. The import is complete. Search should start improving as the indexes get rebuilt.

2. Yes. We are going to make some changes here. Next week I'll open it up for feedback regarding how we should lay out the navigation.

3. Agree. We're toning this down.

Well, you could start with cleaning up the layout (eg. font resizing on scrolling is _REALLY_ disturbing), drop that hover popups, etc.

The best option would be maillist-alike mailgate.

Oh, and you should drop all the useless javascript bloat ... it could easily live with about 10% of the content size.
