    Default Connector after Upgrade

After we upgrade to a new version of Zimbra, do we need to upgrade all of the outlook connectors? If so, what's the best way of doing it besides going to each computer and running the update?

Not 100% necessary, but it's always recommended that your running the latest GA version of the connector. There's always plenty of bug fixes and enhancements.

User interaction acceptable? ie:Are the end users technically competent/could follow directions?
    No user interaction acceptable?
Do you push out build images...profiles...etc?
You just wrote: "what's the best way of doing it besides going to each computer and running the update?" So I assume that this is a relatively smaller company/organization?

Yes, it is a small company. Either one of these would work:

    No user interaction acceptable?

    Default On a related note...

We have some people with old enough ZCO installs that when upgrading, it asks for the original installation file before it can upgrade. These are so old, that we don't have the original versions lying around. Is there some way we can get a zip file of all the historical zimbra connectors? This would really make our job easier when we find these one-off systems that haven't upgraded their connector.

just need to create a OU where you put all the computers that need the connector

    right click on it
    properties

    tab "group cirteria" (last one)

New and name it as "zcs per machine"
    double click on it

    go to computer configuration
    software settings
    software installation
right click on the right white pane and add package

select the zimbra msi through the network location
    eg: \\serverName\ShareName\folderName\Zimbra\ZimbraOlk Connector-5.0.7_GA_2450_5.0.2661.7.msi

    leave all as default

test it on the computer you moved to the OU by rebooting (you may need to reboot twice)
check on installed applicatino and you should see it

the procedure to update the package is the same
in the same "zcs per machine"
add a new package will be named as "zcs connector....(2)"

right click on the (2) package select
    properties
    Updates
    add..
you should see the older connector that has to be selected.

choose Update the package below and click OK

test again rebooting the computer in the OU (may need to reboot twice)
    Ciao
    AleX

(sorry for the translation of the button and tabs name but we have the domain in italian)
