    Default Installer was interrupted

    Hi All,

    Trying to install the Outlook Connector v. 5.0.2_GA in Outlook 2007 on XP (with Zimbra 5), but am having issues when running the installer. The error message is: The installer was interrupted before ZCS Connector for Outlook could be installed. You need to restart the installer to try again. Click 'Close' to exit.

    When trying to re-install it give the same error message.

    I apologize for the lack of logs, not too PC saavy. Thanks for your help!

    Default ZCO Install Interrupted

    I'm seeing the same issue on a Windows XP professional SP2 running Outlook 2007. Rebooting the system didn't help.
    I also tried it on a Vista Home Premium and didn't have any issues. In this system however we're running Outlook 2003, so it's not much of a comparison.

    The only reference I have for what may have happened is in the event logs, but that's not much help

    can you try running the msi under logging mode?
    e.g.


    msiexec /i [msi filename] /L*v [log filename]

    then can you post the log or private message me with the logs?

    Tony,

    I won't be able to run the install that you suggested.
    Yesterday morning I ran an Office repair procedure which is available in the MS Office 2007 disc. I restarted the system after that and tried to run the Outlook connection installation again this time with more positive results.
    I didn't get any interrupted install errors and I was able to set up a connection to the server and sync about 1.5GB of data.

    I expect the Office repair procedure made a difference, although I'm not sure what it specifically did. I'll have to install the connector in a couple more systems, so if I run into the same issue again, I'll try your suggestion and post the results here.
