if you ignore the message, do you see that users mailbox added to the folder tree in outlook?
In outlook there is nothing there that I can find. everything works in the web side fine. but outlook, nothing
I did a complete reinstall of Office enterprise, and then the new Outlook connector and then everything seems to work fine. Then the last question becomes,is there a way to share with in outlook folders that have names other than the standard Calendar or Tasks. How do we go about sharing "Jims Calendar" or "bob's tasks"
Thanks in advance
At least for my folks, the problem was solved by making sure their Outlook2003 clients were patched up to service pack 3.
We are having the same problem as I am reading in the post. We can share calendars across the web client but not through Outlook. When we initiated "Open a Shared Calendar" it is unable to display folder. We have the brand new connector (5.0.5) and this is in Outlook 2003. One thing to note is that I can see the person's folder "Zimbra - person's name" on my folder list...
Any help would be appreciated.
Using the new 5.0.5 connector,
outlook 2003 (11.8206.8202) SP3,
windows xp prof. 2003 SP3
Message unable to display folder (in german: "Der ordner kann nicht angezeigt werden") by opening a shared calendar!
I can not see the person's folder on the folder list ...
Error-Message come's since closing the persons folder this morning. The problem appears at only one computer.
Other computers have same outlook and same connector whitout this problem.
Furthermore the error message come's if I try to open shared calendar from other domain (at all computers). This works fine in webclient.
in outlook try
file->open->other users mailbox
the from the Gal chooser, select the user that has shared content with you.
Go the the folder list in outlook and compress the folder tree. Do you see 2 folder hierarchys? You should see one that says "Zimbra - <Your User Name>" and another that says "Zimbra - <Other Users Name>"
