Default [SOLVED] Help - now cant access Outlook

    Hi There

Can anyone help me with removing ZCO completely from my machine

I was installing and entered in the wrong details, so I decided I didnt want to use it.

So I uninstalled it but now when open Outlook I get the following message

"MAPI was unable to load the information service LSMSSP.DLL. Be sure the service is correctly installed and configured"

This was ZCO 5.09 on outlook 07

So im now unable to access my work mails. I know I need to manually something but dont know where to start

Any help really appreciated as ive tried multiple items and now have wasted 2 hrs of my day so far!

    Try these things:

Look in c:\Program Files\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\1033. If the files listed below are there, do:

    regsvr32 /u /s LSMSSP32.dll
    regsvr32 /u /s SharingAddin.dll
    regsvr32 /u /s ShutdownAddin.dll (this is only there if 5.0.12 or later)

Now you can then delete the following.dlls and .exes in this directory:

SharingAddin.dll, LS*.dll, ZCO*.exe. If ShutdownAddin.dll is there, delete this as well.

You should also look in the registry. If you're comfortable with regedit, you can get rid of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Zimbra and HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ZIMBRA.

This should do it, but I'm not completey positive. Let me know how it goes.

I'm having the same problem but the solution provided didn't work. Mine is version 6.07. I even try to reinstall and uninstall Zimbra Outlook Connector.

    Hi Fseigel,

I am also getting this error. I tried to uninstall zimbra connector and now outlook will not start. A little frustrating! The error: MAPI cannot start the service lsmssp.dll.

Windows 7, outlook 2007, dead in the water for 2 weeks.

    thank you,

    john

You can first look at this:

    King0770-Notes-ZCO-Repair - Zimbra :: Wiki

You can also try this things in the posts in this thread on 2/18 and 2/19.

If that doesn't work, you can try this:

Thank you for the quick response. My system does not have a directory named:

    c:\program files\common files\system\msmapi

    I am running Windows 7.

    thank you,

    john
