Default Connector for Outlook and Mobile - Simultaneous Sync'ing?

I'm looking for someone who has some experience with the Zimbra Connector for Outlook, and mobile both - with one/the same Zimbra account.

Would using the Zimbra Connector for Outlook be appropriate for a user that also has a mobile device and wants to use activesync to keep the mobile current? (ie android or iphone).

In other words would changes in Outlook sync with Zimbra, and in turn sync with their smart phone? Or would Outlook sync with Zimbra and the sync'ing would stop there?

Thanks in advance for any replies.
