    Default Outlook-less connector?

I will shortly be testing the Zimbra/iPhone mix, I've not done much with mobile Zimbra yet and I have a (probably stupid) question.

I get that for full mobile intergration (mail/calendar/contacts) you need Zimbra Network Edition and the Mobile addon. The NE uses the outlook connector to do it's stuff I understand.

The thing is, I dont use outlook, I dont want to use outlook. I very much doubt I actually have a license for outlook. So can I achieve what I want, without outlook?

I'd like to add my interest in this too - we are considering using iPhones for our mobile deployment and while there's a solution for our mac users via the iSync connector, our Windows users may not be so lucky, as we don't use outlook (and would prefer not to).

Is there any chance of a connector that will sync the iphone's calendars and contacts without the need for outlook? Obviously if Apple would allow some kind of activesync in the iPhone that might help but it's not an available feature currently.

Once apple opens up their SDK, we'll certainly look into it.
