    As far as I know, that's not possible. I personally use JSPs only for backend work, not for frontend-things. So if you just retrieve date from your jsp, you can translate that in the frontend-javascript.

    Alright. You are right. There is no direct way. But I found an alternative.

    1. I've passed a parameter to the JSP file and named it "locale". I've passed the current locale to that parameter by reading from the user's settings.
    2. Read the parameter into the JSP file and use "application.getResourceAsStream()" method in JSP file to read the appropriate language properties file. If I found no properties file for the language. I just use english properties file by default.
    3. Done.
